Move over Manolo! Sex and the City cast discovers brand new footwear brand!

Sausalito, CA (June, 2001) - One of the hot new accessory brands just got a whole lot hotter! Bonjour Fleurette flower slippers have found their way onto the set of Sex and the City, the ultra hip New York-based situation comedy airing each week on HBO.
In several episodes this month, characters Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) both sport the new colorful slippers created by company principals, Judi Flowers and Greta Longmire. The slippers combine ultra luxury comfort with whimsical flower adornments to give them a fresh, fun look; perfect for the cast of characters that weekly play out their personal, 30-something lives to millions of adoring fans.
Started in 1999 by Flowers and Longmire, Bonjour Fleurette has quickly captured the fancy of consumers with its collection of fanciful slippers, bags and pet leashes. In addition to its prominent feature on Sex and the City, the slippers and their owners have been the subject of stories in Business Week (June 2001), Footwear News, Accessories, Essence, and on ABC's The View, where Bonjour Fleurette leashes were featured on the celebrated doggie wedding ceremony performed by actor, Tony Randall.
"We thought our look was something Sex and the City might find fun and fit in with their characters," said Judi Flowers, Creative Director for the collection. "We were simply floored when they called and said they would be using the slippers! You can't ask for better support than that."
Flowers has already designed new styles for the Fall/Holiday collection that will utilize the brand's trademark flower designs, but also expand into new styles offering wedge heels and square toes, in tweeds, herringbones and crushed velvet. Other styles feature bows and jeweled buttons, as well as small flower adornments.
